What You Will Be Doing: Technical SEO
* Conduct thorough technical audits — crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, page speed, site architecture, schema, canonicals, and more
* Identify and prioritise technical issues by their actual impact on rankings, not just their presence in a report
* Work with our web development team to implement fixes correctly and verify outcomes
* Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 data across your portfolio and act on what you find
* Stay ahead of algorithm updates — correlate traffic movements to known changes and adjust strategies accordingly
On-page and content SEO
* Develop keyword strategies that reflect search intent, not just search volume
* Produce detailed content briefs and optimise existing pages for relevance, E‐E‐A‐T signals, and structure
* Audit and improve title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchies, and internal linking across client sites
* Identify content gap opportunities and build prioritised content plans that clients can actually execute
Off-page SEO
* Assess backlink profiles using SEMrush or Ahrefs and identify toxic or underperforming links
* Build quality link acquisition strategies relevant to each client's industry and market
* Monitor domain authority trends and benchmark against competitors
Client management
* Be the primary SEO contact for your client portfolio
* Prepare and deliver plain-language monthly reports — what changed, why it changed, and what comes next
* Run strategy sessions with clients and proactively surface opportunities they have not asked about
* Collaborate with the Google Ads team on shared keyword architecture to eliminate cannibalisation and maximise visibility
Who We Are Looking For
We care more about how you think and how you work than how polished your CV is. That said, there are things that matter for this role.
What You Need To Have
* 2+ years in a dedicated SEO role — not SEO as part of a broader marketing position
* Hands‐on experience with Screaming Frog, SEMrush or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4
* A real understanding of technical SEO — you can diagnose a crawl budget problem or a Core Web Vitals regression without being told where to look
* Experience managing SEO across multiple client accounts simultaneously
* Clear written communication — you can explain why a site lost rankings to a business owner who has never heard of a canonical tag
* Familiarity with WordPress at a level that lets you implement on‐page changes without always needing a developer
What Will Set You Apart
* Experience with local SEO — Google Business Profile optimisation, citation management, proximity signals
* Understanding of how SEO and Google Ads interact — keyword cannibalisation, shared audience signals, integrated reporting
* Exposure to AI‐assisted SEO workflows — content scaling, brief generation, data analysis
* Experience presenting SEO strategy to senior stakeholders or business owners
* Prior agency experience managing a portfolio of diverse accounts across industries
The Kind Of Person Who Thrives Here
You are methodical. You do not jump to fixes before you understand the problem. You read the data before you form an opinion.
You keep up. You read the SEO news because you want to, not because someone told you to. You noticed the last core update before the clients did.
You communicate like a human. Your reports tell a story. Your clients understand what you are doing and why, without needing a glossary.
You take the long view. You do not chase quick ranking movements at the expense of sustainable performance. You build things that hold.
You collaborate. SEO does not live in isolation here. You work with the Ads team, the developers, and the content team — and you make each other better.
