Main Responsibilities:
Part of the Sector team, the Senior Associate will interact on a day-to-day basis with Industry/Sector Bankers and Investment Banking professionals to cover clients, generate ideas, reinforce high level discussions, lead the preparation of marketing materials, and support in the execution of live transactions across Investment Banking products with strategic clients. Whilst this role has a broad remit, along with the entire Sector team, it is primarily focused on M&A origination and execution. As such, this role requires strong financial modelling skills and some previous deal experience and/or deep knowledge of the Metals & Mining industry.
The candidate will be required to maintain close coordination with colleagues across APAC and beyond, including those in France, China and other regions, to generate ideas and effectively execute the role.
Mentorship and training to junior talent pool also expected.
This role will be within the Energy Transition and Natural Resources (ETNR) Sector team. The specific industries under scope include power & renewables, oil & gas, metals & mining, new energies and environmental utilities.
Required Skills:
* 3 - 5 years of M&A transaction experience in investment banking, or corporate business development function, majority of which in metals & mining related deals.
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Experience across other ETNR industries (Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, New Energies, Environment) is a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA/CFA and Chinese as a first language are preferred.
