Project Manager | Physical Security Infrastructure & Secure Facilities (EL1 Equivalent)
* Location: ACT (Onsite – Barton, with Overseas Travel)
* Security Clearance: NV2 Security Clearance (Mandatory)
* Contract Length: Initial contract until 30 June 2027 + 12-month extension (Department discretion)
About the position:
This role operates within a highly secure environment responsible for delivering physical security infrastructure initiatives across domestic and international locations. The focus is on safeguarding critical government facilities through structured project delivery, rigorous governance, and precise stakeholder coordination.
You will manage end-to-end project outcomes across security upgrades, facility enhancements, and secure environment implementations ensuring alignment with operational, regulatory, and departmental standards. The role requires disciplined execution, strong governance capability, and confidence operating across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
This is a delivery-focused position with clear accountability for scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality in environments where precision and reliability are essential.
What you’ll do:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of physical security infrastructure projects across local and international sites
* Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes
* Coordinate consultants, suppliers, and technical teams to deliver compliant and secure solutions
* Oversee design reviews, implementation readiness, and structured handover and closeout activities
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience delivering physical security or facilities-related infrastructure projects in secure or regulated environments
* Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, governance, procurement, and contract management
* Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and change control processes
* Ability to interpret technical designs and documentation to ensure alignment with security and operational requirements
