We are seeking passionate and experienced Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers to join our Platypus stores across Canberra. If you have a strong background in retail operations, team leadership and customer service, this is your chance to step into a leadership role with one of Australia's leading footwear retailers.
These roles will see you lead, inspire and coach a team of passionate casuals, drive sales and KPIs, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in high-profile stores. Working closely with your Area Manager, you'll identify opportunities to elevate store performance, team capability and culture.
The Role & Responsibilities
* Ensure the efficient operation of your store to achieve optimal results across sales targets, KPIs, store presentation, visual merchandising, stock levels, wage control and shrinkage
* Motivate and inspire your team to achieve KPI and added-value targets
* Monitor store sales performance to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and yearly targets, recognising wins and identifying opportunities
* Manage wage costs in line with weekly targets and company rostering standards
* Coach, mentor and develop your team, maintaining high morale and ensuring training and succession plans are in place
* Ensure efficient OH&S management and compliance with state and national OH&S legislation
* Work-Life Balance: Set roster – enjoy two consecutive days off
Store Manager: Tuesday to Saturday roster
Assistant Manager: Sunday to Thursday

To Be Successful in These Roles, You Will Have:
* Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment
* Strong leadership qualities with a results-focused and proactive mindset
* Excellent communication and team development skills
* Demonstrated ability to drive sales and manage store performance
* Experience with stock management, operations, and visual merchandising
* Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
