Full-time diesel mechanic position available. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy commercial trucks and trailers in a modern, well-equipped workshop.
The Job
* Work closely with an experienced team to ensure high standards of workmanship are met.
* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues in a timely manner.
* Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
Responsibilities include:
* Service and repair heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
* Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
* Identify and address potential safety hazards in the workplace.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and management.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Trade qualifications (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
* Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles, preferably with Kenworth and Daf trucks.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
