About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Speech Pathology team at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will work closely with our ENT Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist to provide specialised services to patients referred for assessment and management of voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders.
You will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team that offers opportunities to contribute to service development, hold a leadership portfolio, and mentor junior staff and students from the University of Tasmania's Master of Speech Pathology program.
This is a senior clinical role within a supportive department of approximately 25 Speech Pathologists working across a range of specialist areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialised speech pathology services to patients referred for assessment and management of voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders
* Work closely with the ENT Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist to develop and implement effective treatment plans
* Contribute to service development and hold a leadership portfolio
* Mentor junior staff and students from the University of Tasmania's Master of Speech Pathology program
* Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia
* Eligible for membership with the Speech Pathology Australia
* Demonstrated experience in a relevant field of Speech Pathology
* Competence in instrumental assessments such as VFSS, FEES, nasendoscopy, and/or videostroboscopy
* A commitment to evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration
* Leadership and mentoring capabilities
