Job Type: Personal Care and Domestic assistance, Home Care setting. Regular hours and clients.
Location:
Lorne, Victoria and Great Ocean Drive.
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Domestic Assistant (Cleaning) you will provide excellent care to our clients. Your compassionate personality and positive attitude will assist you in providing an optimal level of dignity, comfort, and quality of life for our care recipients. Joining the team you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and supportive team
You must agree to do both roles
Personal Care:
* Assist with Showering
* Assist with Dressing, grooming
* Assist with Toileting
* Have the know-how and understanding of working with elderly
Domestic Assistance:
* Vaccuming, mopping, dusting
* Bed making, linen change
* Laundry service and hanging clothes to dry
Home and Garden Maintenance ( must have own equipment)
* lawn mowing
* pruning
* hedge cutting
* lower level gutter cleaning
Requirement:
* Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Individual Support. (Personal care must have certificates)
* Studying Certificate III and IV ( Domestic Assistance)
* Available to work AM and PM shifts on weekdays.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to older people and their families.
* Computer literacy
* Ability to understand and implement resident care plans.
* Ability to identify Incidents, near misses, and potential health concerns and a clear understanding of when to alert immediate supervisors.
* Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
* Able to demonstrate flexibility to workplace demands and a teamwork attitude.
Desirable:
* Having experience with showering, feeding, assistance, and food handling
* Cleaning, bed making, linen change

Pay: $40.00 – $49.86 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
