You will providehigh‐quality, recovery‐focused care for consumers with acutemental health needs and work closely with a supportivemultidisciplinary team. Area Profile
The Midwesthealth region of Western Australia covers more than 600,000square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with itspopulation concentrated along the coast. The region is locatedin the northern middle section of Western Australia andincorporates four health districts - Gascoyne, Geraldton,Midwest and Murchison.
The $188million redevelopment of Geraldton Health Campus is aninvestment in the Midwest, delivering:
* anexpanded emergency department.
* a newintensive care unit and new high dependency unit.
* a newintegrated mental health service inclusive of an adult mentalhealth inpatient unit and a mental health short stayunit.
A communityreference group with local consumers, staff and representativesfrom local organisations helped inform the architecturaldrawings.
The groupalso shaped cultural recognition of the traditional land ownersand representation of regionally significant landmarks andindustries in the new facility.
