Job Opportunity: Kitchen Professional
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic kitchen professional to join our team. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with set standards.
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook menu items as per set guidelines and standards.
* Support senior chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, including food assembly and plating.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation.
* Ensure adherence to food safety procedures during service times.
* Participate in maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times.
Requirements:
* A Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* A Food Handlers Certificate.
* Experience working in a pub/bistro environment.
* An understanding of fundamental cooking methods and recipe execution.
* Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
