Role
The 1000heads APAC team is looking for a Client Services Director for a 16-month contract, with potential to transition full-time.
This is a newly built role at 1000heads, responsible for the success and growth of 1000heads’ clients and the recently merged social+accounts function. Maintaining senior client relationships, ensuring the sound health of each account, providing strategic guidance (on both the work and direction of the business) and managing quality output coming from the agency will be integral.
You’ll manage key personnel and take on a dual role that blends client services expertise, while ensuring that the team delivers high quality social media execution.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the Australia’s biggest brands such as Isuzu, EnergyAustralia, Live Nation, Hisense and more. The role will require regular (at least monthly) travel to Melbourne and potentially travel to both Singapore and Tokyo (1-2 times per year).
The 1000heads team is a proud, powerful collective of Social Media obsessives, who are experts managing client relationships. You will work closely with a whole host of departmental specialists, from Creative, Insights, to Design, and Strategy to deliver transformational social-first work for our clients.
Responsibilities
Team management
Partnering with and managing 1000heads “POD leaders”. Each POD leader is charged with a book of clients and/or a function at 1000heads and this role is to support each POD leader - including strategic ways to manage clients, delivering the highest quality of work and managing resources to ensure the right briefs are being prioritised.
Strategic vision
Working with senior clients and senior personnel at 1000heads, the GAD will ensure that the account has a clear path forward. This will involve developing a deep understanding of our client’s business strategy and processes, working with clients to identify what their overall strategy for social communications is and where it fits into their wider organisation. They will proactively work to constantly push clients forward and delight them with new and original thinking.
The Client Services Director will also play an active role leading (and when resources are right, actively working on) key strategies, including Social Transformation strategies, new business decks and audits/campaign strategies.
Client experience
The Client Services Director will take overall responsibility for senior client relationships (working with CMO’s and C-Suite clients) ensuring a clear and transparent feedback loop into the agency.
Agency profitability
The Client Services Director will ensure that scoping is accurate and sensitive to the client’s requirements and budgets. They will work with POD leaders to ensure that account-servicing levels are tracked, understood and managed.
They will work with the Project Director and Managing Director to ensure budgets are updated weekly or bi-weekly and key budget movements within clients are flagged and actioned appropriately.
Accounts Growth
Working with the APAC leadership and POD leads to develop ‘Client Growth Roadmaps’ to ensure great client health, minimise threats and outline opportunities to pursue. Specific targets for each account to be agreed with APAC leadership (eg. 20% YoY growth).
Resource management
You’ll be having active hiring/resourcing conversations. When needed, writing JDs and interviewing candidates of all levels to assist POD leaders with hiring.
Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality social campaigns
Take a high level view on the delivery of work, ensuring creative assets produced are true to the client approved plan, that performance targets are being met, streams are optimised when required and servicing levels are as they should be
Requirements
* 10+ years of agency experience; tech or related industry is a strong advantage
* Strategically minded with the ability to interpret research and carry audience insight into messaging and social communications strategies
* Thrives on creativity with the ability to fuel and steer thinking that forms innovative and imaginative ideas
* Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
* Holds a deep knowledge of the social media landscape and in touch with the new trends and behaviours constantly emerging
* Seasoned leadership ability with clear and transparent communication skills that assure clients and internal teams
* Established experience working within cross agency teams
* Has an entrepreneurial spirit and a competitive edgey
