The Team: Tasmania is part of a nationwide program of work that is delivering innovations in the treatment of eating disorders. The Tasmania Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a new service, that delivers integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder. This includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) Programs in the North, Northwest and South. We are looking for clinicians with an interest in eating disorders who are innovators and have a passion for delivering quality care. The Role: As part of the TEDS state-wide multidisciplinary team, deliver high quality mental health services in accordance with Mental Health Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies. The Psychologist – Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) will: Provides quality psychological service utilising evidence-based and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Provides evidence-based psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to people with an eating disorder and their families or carers. You will need to: Demonstrated proficient clinical and professional knowledge in the area directly applicable to treatment of complex mental health disorders with adults and/or children and young people. Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in contemporary psychological practice including comprehensive evidence-based psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions and the ability to produce specialist psychological reports. High level interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills including demonstrated experience in liaising effectively with other services and agencies in the context of providing specialised psychological mental health assessment, advice and training. Details of appointment: Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of twelve months. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Position Features: Participate in the TEDS Community Based Intensive Treatment and Residential Recovery Program which delivers services for adults (16 year and older) with an eating disorder and their family and carers. Salary: $117,272 to $126,182 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible. Allowances: Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
