Lou’s by Horizon, set within the picturesque Lou Miranda Estate in the Barossa Valley, is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant where food, wine and community come together. Our menu is crafted with passion, blending the bold flavours of Australian,Greece, Morocco and Italy with the finest South Australian produce. Due to ongoing growth and demand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background from the same industry. Job Summary: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1or more years (Full time or Pro-rata) of hands-on experience hospitality/Restaurant environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is eager to showcase their managerial or leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the complete daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house, kitchen, and bar to deliver a consistent and high-quality dining experience
* Lead and manage the service team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce
* Prepare and manage staff rosters in accordance with operational requirements, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods while effectively controlling labour costs
* Maintain exceptional customer service standards by monitoring guest satisfaction, responding to feedback, and resolving complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Coordinate closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service, menu consistency & planning, and adherence to quality standards across all meal periods
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and supplier liaison, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimising wastage and controlling costs
* Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, tracking expenses, analysing sales reports, and implementing cost-control strategies to meet revenue targets
* Ensure full compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and liquor licensing laws, including maintaining accurate records and documentation
* Implement and review operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall service delivery
* Supervise cash handling, daily reconciliations, and point-of-sale operations, ensuring accuracy and accountability
* Plan and coordinate special events, functions, and promotional activities to enhance customer engagement and drive business growth
* Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the venue, ensuring it reflects the brand image and provides a welcoming environment for customers
* Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among staff

Key Requirements:

* Minimum Diploma Qualification.
* Minimum of 1 or more years of experience working as a restaurant manager.
* Strong knowledge, good communication skills and leadership qualities.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and maintain a positive attitude.
* Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
* Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays.
