We are seeking an experienced HR Professional to join our team in part time capacity (flexible 8-16 hour/week) supporting the unique and rewarding environment of higher education. This is a hands‐on generalist role where you will provide end‐to‐end HR support, ensuring our people practices are compliant, current, and commercially sound.
What You'll Be Doing
* Draft and review employee agreements, contracts, and employment documentation in line with relevant awards and legislation
* Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practice to managers and staff
* Prepare and deliver HR reporting to head office, including workforce metrics, compliance updates, and people analytics
* Review and verify fortnightly payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Assist with end‐to‐end payroll processing, liaising with finance and external payroll providers as required
What This Role Involves
* Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within the higher education or broader public sector
* Sound knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work Act, and relevant enterprise agreements
* Proven ability to draft employment contracts and policy documentation
* Experience with payroll systems and a strong eye for numerical accuracy
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to advise at all levels
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
