deliver reliable and long-lasting results. Due to business growing, we are seeking a Solid Plasterer to join our team.
About the role:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced solid plasterer for interior and
exterior structures with strong practical experience, and basic accounting or financial
skills to join our acoustic solutions business. This is a dual-function role, which requires
on-site trade work and accurate financial tracking and reporting on projects across NSW.
Essential Requirements:
Plastering and site duties not limited to:
* Measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard, and installing insulation barriers
* Installing and positioning panels appropriately to walls, ceilings, and battens
* Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement, and render to structures with trowels
and other related tools
* Seal joints, nail holes, cracks or uneven finishes, and prepare them for painting,
through brushing, sanding, and other finishing procedures
* Fixing pre-cast cornices, corner beads, and other plaster fittings
* Restore and repairing old or damaged plasterwork
* Create a uniform surface, straightening corners, angles on walls and ceilings.
* Be able to apply decorative and protective coats into internal and external structures
* Create decorative textures
* Apply sound proofing and fireproofing materials, following technical procedures and
fixing them appropriately with glue, plastic cement, or similar elements
* Understand project scopes, floor plans, and client specifications to ensure quality
compliance with the noise control service.
* Compliance with Australian safety and building standards
* Monitoring material usage
* Assist with expense tracking of sundry costs and hardware purchases
Desirable skills and traits:
* Minimum one year experience as a solid plasterer in construction setting
* Certificate 3 in solid plastering or equivalent
* Have hand tools to complete plastering tasks
* Strong attention to detail on-site
* Ability to work in a team and manage responsibilities efficiently
* Reliable, punctual, professional, and well organized
* Use own initiative to prioritize tasks and time
* Current white card and hold full driver license
* Hold intermediate scaffold ticket or willing to obtain
* Comfortable using spreadsheets and writing reports
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
* Additional qualifications in business/accounting, is a plus.
* Ability to work under pressure.
