Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Safety Engineer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing support associated with the System Safety Program and identifying and managing Safety Case issues.
You will work closely with our clients to provide specialist System Safety guidance, conduct and participate in System Safety discussions, working groups and ad-hoc meetings as scheduled. Your responsibilities will include reviewing artefacts developed by other staff within scope and level of Engineering Authority assigned by the COA, developing relevant Engineering Tech Work Instructions to ensure compliance with CASG policy / guidance, and providing Engineering input to the development of the SPO's Strategies and Plans.
Your key objectives will be to identify and mitigate risks associated with system safety, develop and implement strategies to address these risks, and provide recommendations to stakeholders on how to improve system safety.
Requirements
* Proven experience in System Safety engineering with a focus on identification and mitigation of risks.
* Demonstrated ability to provide specialist guidance on System Safety issues and participate in discussions, working groups and ad-hoc meetings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable Skills
