Job Title: Inbound Warehouse Planner
Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inbound Warehouse Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of inbound container shipments to our local and interstate distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities:)
* Managing planning and delivery of inbound container shipments to local and interstate distribution centers
* Booking and managing container crew at Melbourne warehouse
* Overseeing and managing casual staff on site
* Enforcing proper unloading procedures and storage of product into warehouse
* Forklift operating (critical)
* Moving stock (manually) as required
* Order picking as required
* Communicating with interstate logistic partners and transport carriers
* Stocktake (local and interstate as required)
* Product QC as required
* Product assembly as required
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in ERP system
* Liaising and communicating with the MP team regularly
* Attending warehouse meetings as required
* Reporting to Director, CSCO, and COO as required
Requirements:
* Operates and performs well in a small team environment
* Can stick to deadlines and complete tasks under tight time frames and occasional pressures
* Trustworthy, friendly, and amicable – we value people that are easy to get along with and feel happy and fulfilled with their work
* Has an eye for details – this role requires someone who is a stickler for detail
* A willingness to learn tasks outside of your specific role, a desire to improve existing processes, and a strong sense of accountability towards your work
* Shows initiative in their role and has an eagerness to learn more than just what their role entails
* Has the ability to meet the physical demands of the job – being furniture wholesalers, many of the items we stock are large and often quite heavy
* Is very well organized – we pride ourselves on running a tight ship, however this can only happen if we have everyone onboard with our vision and policies
* Has great team management skills – you will be responsible for managing a small team of workers
* Strong computer literacy is critical to ensure you can work efficiently and meet the demands of the role
