**The Client and Role**:
Are you an experienced Iteration Manager with a strong background in payments projects? We have an exciting opportunity with a leading financial services company that requires your expertise to fill their Iteration Manager position. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential for further extension.
**Responsibilities**:
- Define the squad mission aligned to business objectives and OKR's.
- Provide day to day leadership of the squad.
- Facilitate squad member onboarding and foster continuous improvement to grow agile/hybrid maturity, resilience, and high-performance delivery.
- Set up squad governance structures and ways of working.
- Establish and lead agile/hybrid activities and routines including (but not limited to) sprint planning, prioritisation, backlog grooming, stand-ups, showcases, retrospectives, go/no go checkpoints, etc.
- Leverage fit for purpose tools including SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence.
- Backlog refinement to ensure squad understanding of user/customer needs.
- Manage portfolio and product dependencies, change direction to meet required OKR's and inform key stakeholders.
- Supporting our Group-wide capabilities (Identity, Payments, Consent and Loyalty).
- Forecast, track and report cost and benefit realisation, and OKR progress for Squad.
- At squad level identify, communicate and manage risk, issues, dependencies and assumptions.
**Required Skills and Specialisms**:
- Excellent knowledge of Agile principles, especially around prioritisation, velocity, epics/user stories, Kanban Wall, feature teams, releases and showcases, burn up/down charts, and a scaled approach such as SAFe.
- Good knowledge of project management principles, including planning, forecasting, resource management, communicating to stakeholders, financials, vendor engagement, release management and risk management.
- 3+ years' experience as Iteration Manager/Scrum Master.
- Experience establishing squad resourcing and capacity requirements.
- Proven high level of initiative, drive and enthusiasm.
- Experience working in the following delivery frameworks: SAFe, SCRUM.
- Time management skills and an ability to adhere to set schedules.
- Excellent detail on plans for both internal teams to work to and also to allow stakeholders to understand possible delivery opportunities.
- Co-ordination of quarterly planning activities to define the how to deliver initiatives aligned to OKR's (squad activities).
- Development and maintenance of squad delivery plan and vision aligned to business objectives and OKR's.
- Facilitate the identification and management of interdependencies across other squads and portfolios and identify and escalate roadblocks or obstacles requiring resolution at the divisional or enterprise level.
