This opportunity is for an Account Manager role based in Melbourne, within a respected international medical technology business with a diverse product portfolio spanning surgical, interventional, and critical care specialties. The company has an established footprint in Australia and New Zealand and is experiencing strong growth.
The Role
Based in Melbourne, you will take ownership of corporate accounts across public and private healthcare networks. You will work with procurement leaders, hospital executives, and state health departments to build long-term partnerships and drive commercial success. Success relies on stakeholder influence, leading cross-functional projects without direct authority, and bringing data-driven insights to decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic account plans across key hospital groups and health networks
* Negotiate and manage contracts, tenders, and pricing agreements with internal support (Pricing, Contracts/Tenders)
* Engage executive stakeholders and procurement teams to identify growth opportunities
* Use data and analytics to assess opportunities, track performance, and guide strategy
* Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, clinical, operations) to deliver on account objectives
* Deliver compelling presentations to senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes
* Conduct regular business reviews and ensure alignment with healthcare system initiatives
* Maintain deep knowledge of customer structures, funding mechanisms, and strategic priorities
About You
* Strong medical device senior sales experience
* Experience as Corporate Accounts Manager, Sales Manager, or Business Manager
* Demonstrated sales management experience
* Proven ability to manage complex accounts and contracts at executive level
* Highly collaborative and able to network across business units
* Experience working with internal colleagues such as Business Unit Directors, Sales Managers, and Marketing
* Strong influencing skills and ability to lead without formal authority
* Excellent analytical skills to translate data and market insights into actionable strategies
* Exceptional presentation and communication skills with executive stakeholders
* Commercially strategic thinker with a track record of delivering results
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence at senior levels
