About The Role
We’re offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to join our South West team as an Area Administration Assistant. This permanent Part-Time (60-hour per fortnight) opportunity is based in Stanthorpe and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the region.
Reporting to the Area Manager and working closely with our Human Resources and Finance teams, you’ll provide essential administrative and secretarial support to staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming guests to the officeActing as the first point of contact for staff and external contractorsMaintaining office equipment and suppliesSupporting the onboarding of new staffAssisting with recruitment, including managing interviews, verifying documents, submitting checks, and sending remindersPreparing compliance reports (e.g., Blue Cards, First Aid/CPR, LCS, licences, qualifications)Liaising with government departments regarding checksScanning and emailing training documentationOrganising catering for meetings and training sessionsManaging property leases, maintenance requests, and damage reportsOverseeing vehicle managementCoordinating residential placement openings/closuresPurchasing furniture and preparing work ordersUsing systems such as Humanforce, ELMO, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
About You
You bring life experience, patience, empathy, and resilience, with a great sense of humour to match. You’re proactive, approachable, and able to build rapport easily with your team. You’re confident working independently and have solid skills in Microsoft Office and Windows 10. Experience with Humanforce/ELMO and HR processes is highly desirable.
You Will Need
QLD P2 or Open driver’s licenceMinimum Certificate III in Business Administration or similar disciplineDemonstrated experience in a similar administration roleCurrent QLD Blue Card or willingness to obtainWillingness to complete short courses required to work within QLD child protection (supported by us)Current Licensed Care Service (LCS) check through the Department, or willingness to obtain (supported by us)
