Operating within a high-volume, fast-paced environment, the business manages complex end-to-end operations across production, supply chain and distribution, servicing both domestic and international markets. With multi-site operations and a strong focus on operational performance, cost efficiency and continuous improvement, finance plays a critical role in partnering with the business to drive performance and support decision-making at scale.
Role Overview
This is a high-impact commercial finance role embedded within a large, complex operational environment, partnering closely with senior site leadership to drive performance, cost control and efficiency. You will act as the key finance lead on site, providing real-time insight into performance, challenging assumptions and influencing decision-making across production, cost and operational drivers. While responsible for core reporting, the role is focused on understanding what is driving performance at scale and improving outcomes, not just reporting results.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with site leadership to drive cost performance, operational efficiency and financial outcomes
* Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting, including variance analysis across cost, yield and production metrics
* Analyse standard vs actual costs, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions
* Provide proactive insights on operational performance, including trends, risks and opportunities
* Support budgeting, forecasting and ongoing performance tracking at site level
* Work closely with operations to understand production drivers (capacity, throughput, cost inputs, etc.)
* Monitor inventory, cost movements and operational KPIs
* Support capital expenditure tracking, project performance and asset capitalisation
* Drive continuous improvement across reporting, processes and financial visibility
* Build strong relationships across operations, supply chain and finance to support decision-making

Key Requirements
* 4–8 years' experience in management accounting, commercial finance or operations finance
* Strong experience in cost analysis, variance analysis and performance reporting
* Demonstrated ability to partner with operational or non-finance stakeholders
* Strong Excel skills, with exposure to ERP systems (SAP highly regarded)
* Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain or industrial environments preferred
* CA/CPA qualified or working towards
