Drivers and Passenger Deliverers - Victor Harbor
Meals on Wheels South Australia – Mccracken SA
Every week, a team of generous people deliver delicious meals to wonderful people.
Got a car, a licence, and a bit of time?
Like to drive?
We could do with you.
As part of the delivery team, you are on the front line, delivering our amazing meals out to our customers who need them.
If you love a little chat, have a couple of hours in the middle of the day free and want to help out your local community, deliveries are for you
As we deliver in pairs, there are two role options, meaning you do not need to be able to drive or have use of a car to be able to deliver.
Driver
As a driver, you will meet with your passenger at the branch or hospital site, help with loading the hot boxes into the car and deliver meals out to the customers in their homes.
At the end of the round, you will return back to the work site, unload and continue on your day
As a driver, you will need to use your own vehicle for deliveries; however driver reimbursement is available.
The distance involved is generally less than 15km per day.
Drivers are required to hold a current drivers licence and comprehensive insurance (preferred) on their vehicle.
Deliverer
As a passenger, you will meet with your driver at the branch or hospital site, help with loading the hot boxes into the car and deliver meals out to the customers in their homes.
At the end of the round, you will return back to the work site, unload and continue on your day
All training will be provided.
