This is a 9 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency

Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The School

At Canning Vale College (CVC), our staff are committed to our vision of 'Creating Futures' for every child. The Role

CVC is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Humanities and Social Science teacher.

The successful applicant should have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.

An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner are also highly desirable.

The successful applicant will ideally be able to display how they will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices will be considered favourably.

The ability and initiative to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application.

The successful applicant should have a growth mindset and be committed to the school's Instructional Model which is based on practices that have a strong evidence base for their effectiveness. It is expected that all teachers will participate in the school's Instructional Coaching program. Skills and knowledge in these areas will be an advantage.

A strong record of working in constructive collaboration with a variety of school teams will be a highly desirable.
