About the role
We are currently seeking a senior quantity surveyor to work across various projects based in Sydney. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver commercial requirements of the project
* Preparation and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.
* Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.
* Prepare, review & submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).
* Review change management opportunities
About you
* You will hold a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commercial Law.
* Ideally you will hold MRICS membership or be working towards membership.
* Hold an intermediate level of experience in a similar role, having worked within large scale infrastructure, construction, rail or heavy industrial environments.
* A comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, and budget preparation and administration.
* A high level of technical and negotiation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.
