Your Role Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) is one of Victoria’s largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations. An opportunity is available for a committed and experienced Hub Team Leader to lead, supervise and mentor a team of Hub Practitioners and Senior Case Workers within the Orange Door, Mallee. In this role you will provide daily leadership across Screening, Intake, and Triage (SIT) and Assessment and Planning (A&P) functions, ensuring high quality, consistent service delivery. You will also play a key role in supporting practitioners from partner agencies, working withing the Family Safety Victoria (FSV) Matrix management model to deliver truly integrated responses. The Mallee Orange Door, funded by Family Safety Victoria, is part of the state-wide Orange Door network. As a Risk Assessment Entity (RAE) aligned with the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Management (MARAM) framework, the service Works with individuals using violence to promote behaviour change and accountability. Supports victim survivors of family violence to enhance safety and wellbeing. Responds to child and family wellbeing concerns through coordinated, culturally informed interventions. Connects individuals and families to the services they need, when they need them. This is a critical leadership role requiring strong practice oversight, stakeholder engagement and the ability to lead within complex, multi-agency environment. This is a permanent full time position based at our Mildura office location. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in leading teams, including meeting performance goals, assistance in recruitment and selection, performance management, and staff coaching and development. Insight into the health, psychological, developmental, social, and economic impacts of family violence, particularly on women, children, and Aboriginal communities. Proven ability to perform comprehensive risk assessments, provide crisis support, and develop safety plans including familiarity with legal and practice definitions relevant to the Support and Safety Hub Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and manage high-level engagement across various sectors. Proficiency in key Microsoft Office applications and the ability to adapt to new information technology systems in addition to a demonstrated high level of communication and negotiating skills. Qualification/s: A Tertiary level qualification (or preparedness to obtain a qualification as part of the role) in addition to previous relevant experience in a similar role.
