This is an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Planning Coordinator to join our organisation. As a key member of the team, you will play a lead role in coordinating the development of strategic land use planning and economic development projects and plans.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in strategic planning, urban planning or related field. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring alignment with our organisational objectives and delivering successful outcomes.
* You will coordinate the delivery of policies, strategies and plans that deliver land use planning and economic outcomes.
* Lead individual strategic projects and planning scheme amendments.
* Monitor, review and implement the Northern Grampians Planning Scheme to achieve efficient and sustainable development for the municipality.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating economic initiatives and programs that increase jobs, investment, business growth and business sustainability.
* Preparing and presenting reports to stakeholders, including Council members, Planning Panels, and community forums.
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to identify and achieve project deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning or related field.
* Substantial experience working in strategic planning.
* Demonstrated success in project managing strategic projects.
* Able to identify complex problems, develop solutions and make informed decisions.
