About the Role
This is an opportunity to contribute to a vital project that aims to manage and control feral animal populations across NSW. The role involves conducting field operations, collaborating with landholders, community groups and partner agencies, and supporting emergency biosecurity responses.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement on-ground delivery of pest management programs with a focus on controlling feral pig populations and other priority pests.
* Assist with surveillance compliance and control programs to mitigate the impact of invasive species.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver coordinated pest management activities and support sustainable land use practices.
* Contribute to emergency response efforts and recovery programs as required.
What We Are Looking For
We seek motivated and adaptable individuals who are passionate about hands-on fieldwork and committed to making a positive impact in their community.
* Degree or qualifications in agriculture, biosecurity, pest management, or natural resource management.
* Experience in pest animal management and safe pesticide application, or willingness to acquire this knowledge.
* Ability to obtain and maintain NSW Firearms Licence and relevant Statement of Attainment for humane animal destruction.
* CURRENT NSW Driver Licence and flexibility to work across the region.
