About The Role
The Mechanical Fitter role is a Full-time position, based at Bringelly, NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site, you will be working on a 11-hr day roster (5am-4pm) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate, Boilermaker Certificate, Machinist or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintaining Operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
* Complete planned maintenance tasks.
* Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
* Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor.
* Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxs/drives, bearings rollers etc.
* Fabrication-Simple stick, TIG and MiG welding
* Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill.
* Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
