Hairdressers Hardware is a much-loved business in the Sydney Hills community, known for our expertise, knowledge, and professional services in the hair and beauty industry. We are proud of our growth and our position as a trusted place for all things hair and beauty. We service hair and beauty salons and industry professionals working remotely. While we are predominantly a trade store, we also cater to retail and hairdressing apprentices just starting out that need some assistance and support getting started.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, understands the haircare industry, and is energised by achieving results. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of salon clients, identifying new business opportunities, and representing our brand with professionalism and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with salon clients
• Understand client needs, preferences, and business goals
• Deliver exceptional customer service and tailored solutions
Sales & Product Expertise
• Promote and sell our professional haircare and salon products
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge and stay informed on industry trends
• Apply effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets
• Develop and execute plans to drive consistent sales growth
Organisation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate client records and contact information
• Track sales performance, progress, and opportunities
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal departments
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with confidence
• Build rapport and create a positive, professional client experience

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and a strong understanding of salon‑focused products, but we also welcome applicants who are motivated, eager to learn, and ready to grow into the role.
Sales Experience
* Ideally a background in sales or customer‑facing roles, within beauty, haircare, or a related industry.
* Comfortable working toward targets and using CRM or sales tools
* Familiar with sales techniques and relationship‑building practices
* Confident in reaching out to new accounts to generate fresh opportunities
Product Knowledge
• Understanding of professional haircare products and salon trends, or a willingness to learn quickly
• Ability to explain product benefits clearly and confidently to clients
