Job Opportunity: Grounds Maintenance Specialist
The Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the school grounds in a safe and tidy condition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees, and soft landscapes
* Oversee the upkeep of hard landscaping features such as courts and paving
* Mark sports areas and conduct minor repairs in line with departmental policies
* Keep gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery clean, serviceable, and report faults promptly
Requirements:
* A valid Working With Children Check
* A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit
* An Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
Selection Criteria:

* The steps they take to manage grounds and gardens
* Equipment or chemicals they use
* How they ensure their safety and the safety of others
