Role DescriptionYolk Digital is looking to fulfil a role with our client, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM). BoM is seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Apps Developer to design and deliver a Power Platform solution supporting the FWIN (Field Work Information Network) program. Operating at an EL1-equivalent level, this role requires a technically capable and self-directed professional who can translate business requirements into well-governed, production-ready Power Platform solutions.
You will work across the full solution lifecycle — from architecture and development through to data migration, governance configuration, user training, and post-deployment support. The role has a meaningful stakeholder engagement dimension, requiring clear and confident communication with both technical peers and non-technical business users to iterate solutions and drive program outcomes.
Working ArrangementsRemote: The agency supports fully remote delivery for this engagement. Candidates may be based anywhere in Australia, provided they are available during standard business hours (Canberra time) and able to attend ad hoc meetings or workshops as required.

Key ResponsibilitiesDuties may include some or all of the following:Design and develop Power Apps canvas and/or model-driven applications to support FWIN business processesImplement Dataverse as the primary data store, including data modelling, table design, and relationship configurationDesign and configure Power Automate flows to support data validation, workflow automation, and notificationsMigrate existing data from SharePoint Lists to Dataverse, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency throughoutApply appropriate security roles, permissions, and governance controls within the Power Platform environmentCollaborate with business users to gather and refine requirements and iterate on delivered solutionsProduce clear technical and operational documentation including data model and solution design, application configuration, and support and maintenance requirementsDeliver user training, knowledge transfer, and hyper-care support following deploymentTroubleshoot and optimise performance of complex workflows, application logic, and data connectionsContribute to and influence ICT delivery practices, encouraging innovation and continuous improvementProactively share knowledge and expertise, and provide assistance to less experienced colleagues where applicable

Desirable CriteriaExperience delivering Power Platform solutions within Australian federal government environmentsHands-on experience migrating data from SharePoint Lists to Dataverse, including data quality and integrity assuranceDemonstrated ability to produce end-user training materials and deliver knowledge transfer sessions post-deployment
