The Role of a Care Manager
Job Description:
Care Managers play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to residents and their families.
They provide clinical leadership, advice, education, and support to Nurses and Carers. Their primary goal is to ensure the facility delivers high-quality care that meets or exceeds legislative and accreditation requirements.
Additionally, they are responsible for completing clinical data audits, conducting trend analysis, and delivering reports to stakeholders. This enables them to identify areas for continuous improvement and develop action plans to address gaps in care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
3. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes
About You:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration who has at least 5 years of experience in a Care Manager or Clinical Nurse Manager role within aged care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to mentor and educate others, and have a strong focus on customer service.
As a Care Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to remain calm and composed under pressure. You will also need to be resilient, motivated, and organised, with a passion for delivering exceptional care.
