Role Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Analyst / Researcher to support the Business Development function by delivering high-quality market intelligence, project research, and opportunity mapping.
This role sits at the front end of the BD engine - your insights will directly influence which opportunities are pursued and how the business positions itself to win work.
You will analyse market activity, track project pipelines, monitor approvals, and build detailed account profiles to support strategic engagement with mining clients.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
8. Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or similar
9. Strong research, analytical, and problem‐solving skills
10. High attention to detail and ability to synthesize information
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
12. Interest in mining, resources, or infrastructure sectors
13. Ability to manage multiple information sources and priorities
Desirable Skills
14. Exposure to mining, EPC/EPCM, or industrial projects
15. Understanding of project lifecycles (PFS, FS, FEED, execution)
16. Experience using market intelligence tools or databases
17. Commercial awareness and interest in business strategy
18. Familiarity with Australian mining landscape or approvals
Duties & Responsibilities
19. Build and maintain a pipeline of mining project opportunities
20. Conduct research across greenfield and brownfield projects
21. Track project stages (Scoping, PFS, FS, FEED, execution)
22. Monitor approvals (WA, EPBC) and key project triggers
23. Develop detailed account dossiers for target clients
24. Identify key decision-makers and stakeholder maps
25. Provide insights to support BD strategy and client engagement
26. Track market trends across commodities and regions
27. Support opportunity qualification and go/no-go decisions
