Focus of the role As Head of Digital Content, you will lead & transform our content strategy within an ever-evolving digital landscape. Utilising AI and other tools, you’ll lead the creation of personalised experiences through our website and app to ensure we’re thinking of what our customers need, before they know they need it. About the Team Telstra Digital is Telstra’s e-commerce and digital customer service channel for consumer and small business customers, supporting millions every week across platforms like Telstra.com.au and the MyTelstra app. We also manage Telstra Plus, our loyalty program with over 6 million members. Our team of more than 400 people, based in Australia and India, includes engineers, product owners, designers, CX specialists, writers, analysts, accessibility experts, as well as commercial and operations staff. Our responsibilities extend to messaging platforms used by our call centres and the ongoing development of AI-powered chat solutions. We also have a number of whole-of-company responsibilities such as accessibility and our websites which serve all customers and stakeholders. What You’ll Do In this forward thinking role, you will: Develop and implement Telstra Digital’s content strategy across our owned digital assets, including Telstra.com.au and the MyTelstra app, which boasts over 8.7 million digitally active users. Develop and implement Telstra Digital’s content strategy across the Telstra Plus loyalty program, which has more than 6.1 million members Collaborate with peers in the digital leadership team to drive process and organizational changes needed to establish a new content supply chain utilizing a new workflow platform. Integrate AI-driven tools and agents into content workflows to enhance personalization, efficiency, and customer engagement. Utilize your expertise and passion for creativity, technology, and data equally to design and build adaptive and personalized digital experiences that engage both consumers and businesses. Ensure brand consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints to create emotionally resonant customer experiences. Build the team’s knowledge application of industry changes in AI, digital media, and customer behaviour to inform content innovation. Advocate for ethical and responsible use of AI in content creation and distribution, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards including the accessibility of our content. Work in conjunction with teams across the Digital channel, Marketing, Consumer, and Business segments to synchronize content initiatives with customer outcomes and business goals. Provide leadership to our team of content creators, strategists, and digital producers to deliver compelling, customer-centric content. This role can be worked flexibly across Australia. About you You’ve led teams through digital transformation, championed ethical AI adoption, and know how to balance innovation with integrity. You’re not just fluent in AI — you’re fluent in people. We’re seeking a visionary content leader who sees AI not just as a tool, but as a strategic partner in redefining how audiences connect, engage, and evolve. To be successful, you’ll need: Proven experience in digital content leadership, preferably in a large enterprise or tech-driven environment. Experience working with and within the creative industries and a passion for delivering high quality, engaging content. An ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale digital content initiatives. A deep understanding of AI technologies and creativity and their impact on content strategy, workflows and content supply chains. Strong process and change management experience A strong knowledge of the evolving SEO and SEM landscape influenced by the rise of AI agents, and proficiency in using analytics tools. Ideally experience with the Adobe enterprise suite of content platforms, including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Express, and Adobe Workfront. Familiarity with content governance frameworks and compliance standards.
