Tasks & Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
• Leading from the front as a hands-on experienced geotechnical driller
• Operating and maintaining a range of drilling equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with difficult access and modular skid rigs is highly regarded
• Drilling boreholes, sampling soils and rock, and conducting in-situ tests as required (SPT, window sampling, televiewer
• Interpreting geological conditions and adjusting drilling techniques accordingly
• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborating with the project team to provide timely and accurate data and reporting
• Performing routine maintenance and servicing of drilling equipment
• Mentoring and training junior team members as required

What We're Looking For
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Driller in the construction industry, with leading hand/supervisor experience
• Proven ability to manage crews while remaining actively involved in drilling operations
• Strong technical knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment
• Proficient in interpreting geological conditions and adapting drilling methods accordingly
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental best practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant licences and certifications, including a current driver's licence
