Child Matters | Teen Matters is looking for a dedicated and motivated
provisionalpsychologist
to join our thriving allied health practice. Accommodation options available.
We welcome 2025 graduates to apply early for a start in 2026. We are a small multidisciplinary service in Busselton, Western Australia, focusing on assessment and therapy for autistic children and teens, as well as children and teens with developmental and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, or other mental health problems. We provide clinic, home and school based services with a flexible workplace that may include some work from home.
Role and supervision
Provisional psychologists will be trained to deliver both assessments and therapy programmes. Supervision is available onsite for a 5+1 pathway with costs included. Felicity is a highly respected and experienced supervisor. We have three board approved supervisors on site and a supportive environment for interns and new graduates to develop and thrive.
Responsibilities
Deliver assessments and therapy programmes for children and teens, including autism diagnostic assessments and other psychometric and mental health assessments.
Provide individualised therapy and targeted family support; contribute to a collaborative care approach with the team.
Engage families and schools as part of comprehensive care plans.
Utilise evidence-based interventions and participate in ongoing professional development.
Work across clinic, home and school settings as required.
Essential criteria
5 year (minimum) psychology degree
Experience or demonstrated interest in working with autistic children/teens
Awareness of evidence-based interventions
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Ability to cover a broad range of presenting issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High reliability and strong time management skills
Autonomous with a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Prerequisites before starting
Professional Indemnity Insurance
Roadworthy vehicle & driver's licence
Working with Children Clearance
