Job Description

* Our ideal candidate will review, understand, and abide by the requirements of our Quality Management System, Customer Specific Requirements, and Environmental Management System.
* The selected individual will supervise the Metallurgical Laboratory, performing daily metallurgical testing as required.
* This position involves writing process instructions by determining process parameters required to achieve customer requirements.
* The successful candidate will write and maintain QCP documents for outside heat treating.
* Management of subcontractor PPAP submissions and coordination with plant QA will be a key responsibility.
* This role requires interface with the AAM Metallurgy group and participation in inter-company standardization activities.
* The selected individual will act as a customer liaison, promoting continuous improvement through meetings with customers, quality teams, and employees.
* Metallurgical Lab Reports on non-conforming products received from suppliers will be prepared by this individual.
* Other Quality Assurance related reports or documents may also be requested.
* This role involves performing metallurgical analysis on non-conforming product returns from customers when applicable.
* The selected individual must comply with established quality procedures in the completion and documentation of work performed.
* All other tasks assigned by management.


Requirements

* Five years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment (preferably in machining or forging for the automotive industry).
* Knowledge of Induction Heating and Hardening (two years of Induction Hardening experience preferred).
* Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
