Project Engineer: Track, Civil and Structures
A key position within UGL Regional Linx, this role provides input and oversight to pre-planning and construction delivery, aiming to achieve project time and budget objectives.
About the Role
This Project Engineer will lead the project delivery process, driving completion of work in accordance with TAO requirements. The successful candidate will deliver works that meet the expectations of time, cost, safety, and environmental objectives for both UGLRL and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and fulfill UGLRL TAO Obligations for construction, aligning with UGL procedures, TfNSW requirements, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practice.
* Review and arrange approval designs as construction progresses.
* Oversee construction management to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
* Manage design adherence or controlled changes in line with UGLRL procedures.
* Develop and implement quality assurance systems and processes required to meet TAO (construction) requirements.
* Act as technical representative and nominated signatory for all hold and witness points.
* Perform other tasks directed by line management, aligned with experience and skillset.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Structures).
* Chartered Engineering Status, either achieved or working towards.
* Rail Infrastructure Workers Card ('RIW') and relevant track access competencies.
* NSW Construction Industry Safety Induction ('White Card').
* Current Class 1 Driving License.
* 3-7 years of postgraduate experience, including at least one year of site-based work.
* Demonstrated leadership in delivering minor/major projects to program and budget specifications.
