Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre:
Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre is seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our team. The facility comprises of an emergency/outpatient service, five acute beds and an exceptional aged care service with 9 aged care beds providing high, low and respite care.
Flinders Island is based in the Bass Strait between Victoria and the northeast coast of Tasmania, with a population of approximately 900 people.

The Role
You will have:
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as a member of our multidisciplinary team
- advanced assessment, problem solving and organisational skills
- previous experience working with the elderly and people with dementia

Details of appointment
Multiple permanent, full time/part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging
You\’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Regional Allowances
- District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a family
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
