About the Role
This is a newly created role focused on developing and growing the organic processing capacity in Queensland.
You will lead the organics business in QLD by driving growth through securing input volumes, expanding end markets for finished products and achieving optimal commercial agreements for ongoing supply.
* Develop and implement strategies to grow the organics business in QLD and increase processing capacity.
* Secure tenders for organics facilities in QLD and negotiate volumes for existing or planned facilities.
* Support project management of new organics infrastructure development.
* Collaborate with industry bodies and government agencies to provide technical information and support policy development.
* Liaise with councils and industry clients to develop business opportunities, including market development for manufactured materials and achieving optimal commercial agreements.
* Implement cost-effective and quality-oriented approaches to operational and technical improvements in organic facilities.
* Lead a team to ensure business results are achieved and manage stakeholder expectations to meet contracts and targets.
* Provide technical support and process improvements to existing organic facilities to enhance material quality and profitability.
Requirements
* Proven experience in organics recycling, composting, agricultural operations, mining operations, and/or primary industries.
* Demonstrated ability to develop strategies, tenders and win business to build market share.
* Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and knowledge of local, state and federal regulations related to organic waste, compost management and compliance.
* Strong proficiency in project management, technical planning for organic facility development.
* Able to navigate complex regulatory landscapes in organic waste management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational skills and commitment to customer service.
* Experience with financial reporting and proficiency with related IT systems and administration.
