About The Role
As Creative Industries Project Officer you will play a vital role within the Place Project team, helping to shape and deliver initiatives that enrich arts and culture across Ipswich.
This role centres on building capacity within the creative industries, working closely with local artists, and supporting strategic outcomes that foster a vibrant and sustainable creative sector.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinate and Deliver arts and cultural development programs such as ARTiculate workshops, Creators' Summit Ipswich and the Ipswich Art Awards
* Facilitate engagement with local creatives, organisations and community groups to support participation in Council-led programs
* Collaborate with the broader Arts and Culture industry including engaging with peak bodies, experts and other levels of government
* Administer the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), including application processing and committee coordination
* Coordinate promotional materials and communications to support visibility and engagement with creative industries programs

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A relevant qualification in community development, cultural development, business or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience in the creative industries
* Experience working within the creative sector, ideally with knowledge of Ipswich's creative ecology and networks
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including artists, community groups, and First Nations creatives
* Demonstrated experience in coordinating events, managing logistics, and delivering programs
* A current Queensland C Class driver's licence
* A Working with Children (Blue Card)

This is a fixed-term full-time position to 31 March 2027, with a salary commencing at $102,718 plus 12.5% superannuation.
