Your New Role:
You will take full accountability for the overall performance of the store. That means owning sales results, wage control, stock accuracy and team culture, not just supervising the day to day.
This is a hands on leadership position. You will spend time on the floor, supporting customers, coaching your team and keeping standards tight across stock flow and safety. The product range is broad and inventory levels are significant, so being across all the moving parts is a must.
* You will be responsible for driving sales performance, protecting margin and managing expenses
* Leading and developing a team across service, trade sales and operations
* Managing roster planning and wage spend in line with budget
* Overseeing stock control, shrinkage and replenishment processes
* Maintaining safe work practices and compliance standards
* Building strong relationships with repeat trade customers and local businesses
* Working closely with senior leadership to improve store performance

The Experience Checklist:
* Experience leading a store in a high volume retail environment
* Strong commercial capability with proven experience managing sales budgets and wages
* Confident running stock heavy operations with a focus on accuracy and loss prevention
* Background in hardware, trade supplies, automotive, industrial or similar environments will be highly regarded
* Comfortable working with trade customers and relationship based selling
* Demonstrated ability to coach, performance manage and retain team members
* Clear understanding of workplace safety standards
* Calm, practical leadership style with the ability to make decisions quickly
