Job Description
The Engineer will be responsible for creating innovative solutions to meet customer needs. This position will focus on complex offerings for Metso's Bulk Material Handling (BMH) Electrical and Instrumentation product group, including engineering services, spare parts, upgrades, and retrofits.
Projects range from engineered service work through to full system retrofit equipment and greenfield equipment supply projects. As part of the BMH product group, you will collaborate with a team of experts to deliver comprehensive solutions that drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review customer inquiries to identify needs, requirements, comments, and exceptions.
* Visit customers to understand their business and corresponding product needs; analyze their decision process and key drivers.
* Create proposals for complex upgrades, refurbishments, and retrofits to meet market demands.
* Develop application-specific equipment specifications.
* Ensure proposal competitiveness by clearly communicating the value add for customers.
* Ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating risks.
* Develop standard commercial offerings for upgrades, retrofits, and refurbishment and deploy these to sales teams for opportunity generation.
* Collaborate with other business lines to deliver value-added and sustainable proposals.
* Provide direct sales support and guide others within your area of expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Previous experience in generating product pricing, reviewing customer inquiries, or designing custom solutions is preferred.
* Experience in utilizing CRM systems and Salesforce.
* Good communication skills and ability to read and understand electrical drawings in both English and Metric Systems.
* Adequate computer skills, capable of working with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
