About the Company This national contractor is fast becoming a cornerstone of Australia's energy transition, delivering critical power and communications infrastructure across the eastern seaboard. Backed by strategic growth and recent project wins across transmission and rail, they're expanding their NSW presence to support major utility and renewable energy builds. With a strong order book and a growing reputation on complex, multi-disciplinary projects, they're now seeking a technically minded estimator or engineer to shape competitive, buildable tenders for high-voltage works. About the Role You'll work closely with senior engineering, delivery and commercial leads to develop methodologies and cost estimates that win work and can be delivered. Focusing on high-voltage overhead lines, substations, and BESS integration, your expertise will help guide the approach from tender through to project handover. From tensioning plans and tower erection to outage scheduling and risk allowances, this role brings together technical depth, structured analysis and client-facing clarity. Your Key Responsibilities Bid Engineering & Technical Strategy Analyse RFQs, drawings, specifications and contract documents for complex high-voltage and transmission works Develop stringing and tower methodologies aligned to AS/NZS7000 and AS2067 Build accurate, first-principles estimates and clear pricing models using engineering inputs and supplier quotations Liaise with procurement to support subcontractor engagement and BoQ development Contribute to risk reviews and work with planning to align timeframes and delivery milestones Tender Delivery Collaborate with internal bid writers and commercial staff to ensure your inputs are technically sound and strategically positioned Stress-test programs and methodologies against environmental, access and sequencing constraints Support the preparation of technical responses and non-priced attributes for major tenders Work with document control and tendering coordinators to meet all submission requirements Project Readiness & Support Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams by contributing to methodology briefings and clarifying assumptions Review subcontractor and supplier submissions for alignment with bid scope Draw on learnings from recent projects and industry changes to continuously improve estimating practices About You Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar 35 years' experience in high-voltage transmission, stringing or linear infrastructure projects Skilled in tensioning methodology, foundation types, HV safety standards and outage planning Confident in interpreting and translating technical content across delivery, design and commercial teams Familiar with AS/NZS7000, AS2067, and utility-specific HV design requirements Able to prepare clear, evidence-based inputs into tenders with an eye for commercial viability Why Join?
