You will join our Counselling Team, who are part of the Children, Young People and Families Service. These temporary positions can be based in Forster or Taree Community Health with the flexibility to work across the Lower Mid-North Coast. You will work alongside other team members as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, meeting the Counselling needs of Children, Young People and their Families in our area.

About The Role

The team works flexibly to meet client needs, providing care across Community Health settings, homes, schools and the broader community. This role reports to the Manager of Children, Young People and Family Services on the lower mid north coast.

In this position, you will deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred care, including evidence-based assessment/intervention, health promotion and education. Experience working with children, young people and families/carers is highly regarded. You'll manage a busy caseload, often involving complex psychosocial needs, and contribute to multidisciplinary clinics within the service.

You'll be supported with a structured orientation, ongoing training, regular monthly clinical supervision, and access to both internal and external professional development opportunities.

Qualifications / Requirements
* Social Workers - hold as a minimum a bachelor's degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Psychologists – must hold a four-year degree in psychology, being a three-year degree with a fourth-year honours in psychology, or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, and be registered (general) or eligible for registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via AHPRA.

Additional Information
* To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
