Housekeepers/Cleaners required for DIDO role in Woomera South Australia, 12 days on 9 days off roster
Hays Recruitment are currently looking for immediately available and experienced Housekeepers/Cleaners to join our clients team at the historic town of Woomera in far north South Australia. The successful candidates will be required to have strong commercial cleaning skills coupled with the ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences through attention to detail, expertise and teamwork. Due to the location of the role (500km north of Adelaide) this position is a drive in drive out (DIDO) role which will see you working a 12 days on 9 days off roster. The hours of work while on swing will see you working long days starting at 6.30am though to 6.30pm.
The successful candidates will also receive free accommodation in Woomera as our client has a number of local properties so you would be sharing a 3 bedroom house with one or two other people. Also included in this role are all of your meals which are provided while you are away on your 12 days swing. As these roles are remote we are requiring candidates that have a drivers licence and reliable vehicle but we are happy to look at candidates wherever they are based in South Australia.
Your primary responsibilities in this role will see you working in a large team delivering high-quality housekeeping and cleaning services across hotel style accommodation and general commercial cleaning.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Perform daily cleaning of floors, toilets, ablution areas, kitchens, glass surfaces, furniture, and outdoor areas
- Enhance the appearance of buildings and Defence facilities
- Ensure a hygienic, clean, and tidy working environment
- Deep Cleaning:
- Make beds
- Dust and vacuum
- Mop floors
- Clean toilets, bathrooms, and kitchens
- Remove cobwebs
- Respond to emergency cleaning needs
This role is offered on an ongoing basis and to be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with experience in hotel/motel and general commercial cleaning with excellent customer service and problem solving skills. This role will see you working with a close knit professional workforce with a major focus on working as a team and helping other people whenever you can.
Before the role can commence candidates would be required to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test and provide a national police check that is no more than 4 weeks old, candidates that have a working with children check will also be highly regarded.
Due to the nature of this role candidates must be Australian Citizenship as this is required to work on Australian Defence sites.
