Temporary Part Time 15.2 Hours per week for 2 years with an option for Full Time for the first 12 months

The Role
As the Investment Attraction Officer, you will be responsible for promoting the Latrobe City economy, its products and services, pursing opportunities to promote the City as a location to live, work, visit and invest and assisting in the promotion, co-ordination and fostering of relationships between people and businesses of this municipality and other nations.
You will also be involved in facilitating the expansion of the regions sustainable employment capacity by attracting investment, generating enhanced infrastructure development and supporting business retention and development.
Two key focus areas are attracting investment and the activation of the Gippsland Logistics and Manufacturing Precinct.
You will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with some relevant experience, or alternatively, substantial relevant experience in economic or business development or other relevant field.
* Demonstrated experience in an economic development or business development role would be an advantage.
* Computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite, with an ability to learn other programs including electronic document management systems and GIS digital mapping system.
* An understanding of Japanese and/or Chinese culture would be looked upon favourably.
