As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of correctional facilities. You will work closely with inmates to provide support and guidance, and help them to achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising inmates in correctional facilities, including prisons and court cells.
* Conducting searches and monitoring behaviours to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
* Providing support and guidance to inmates, including assistance with daily tasks and duties.
* Managing inmate requests for services and escalating issues as needed.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or concerns to management.

Requirements for this role include:
* Minimum age of 18 years old.
* Current MR - Medium Rigid drivers licence (or willingness to obtain within 3 months from appointment).
* Australia or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
* Willingness to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice.
* Meet medical standards to be a correctional officer and have reasonable level of fitness.
* No visible tattoos or body art on face, scalp, ears, neck, or hands.
