At Kubota Australia and New Zealand we distribute exceptional quality agriculture, construction and power equipment and products and provide after sales service. We wholesale to a large independent dealer network to ultimately serve Kubota customers.
In your new role, you will undertake a range of activities to introduce and maintain a compliant, saleable implements product line.
Key accountabilities include:
Manage assigned product categories to ensure effective, compliant product development and performance aligned with Kubota's strategic sales and marketing goals and Dealership Agreements.
Contribute to product planning, pricing, and performance budgeting. Recommend and support implementation of improvements or corrective actions as approved.
Provide expert product advice and technical support to dealers and end users, including in-field assistance and sales support.
Lead and support the implementation of new initiatives, including product launches, dealer performance optimization, sales programs, training, and demonstrations.
Develop and issue sales bulletins and promotional campaigns (pre-season/in-season) to drive wholesale and retail sales. Maintain accurate pricing and price lists to meet margin and profitability targets.
Support the planning and maintenance of compliant, market-relevant product ranges. Provide input into future product development.
Create and deliver product presentations, training, and communications to internal teams and dealer networks.
Manage model line-up, including coordination with overseas factories on new model introductions or discontinuations.
Represent the Kubota brand professionally in all dealer and industry engagements.
Perform other duties within scope of skills and experience as required.
To be successful in the role, your resume would include:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred) or commensurate industry experience
- Valid Driver’s license
- Valid Passport and satisfy any and all conditions allowing interstate or international travel
- Significant hands-on experience undertaking a broad range of product management activity related to the sale of capital equipment (agricultural machinery preferred) with a national/ international remit
- Applied understanding of Australian agriculture/ farming practices, tillage and seeding techniques
- Must have a technical in-field understanding of tillage and seeding machinery
- Experience in the operations of tractors and agricultural/farm machinery
- A basic understanding of agronomy principals particularly related to crop establishment and crop maintenance strategies
- Senior level relationship and account management experience and skills
- Robust general business acumen
- Highly developed strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Executive level communication (inclusive of report writing and presenting), consulting/ advising, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Experience in project management/ coordination (preferred)
- Well developed planning and organisational skills
- Applied knowledge of relevant and applicable Australian and New Zealand Standards and Trade Practices Act, International Standards and applicable OHS legislation
