Due to continued growth, our client is seeking amotivated Casual Trainee Technician to join their team in Townsville. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to build a long-term career in a hands‑on, fast‑paced industry.
About the Role
As aTrainee Restoration Technician, you’ll work alongside experienced and accredited professionals, assisting with a variety of property restoration projects. This is aminimum 35‑hour‑per‑week role, offeringstructured on‑the‑job training, the opportunity to completeIICRC certification, and the potential to transition into a full‑time position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with restoration works includingwater extraction, structural drying, cleaning, and mould remediation
- Support withlight demolition tasks such as removing plasterboard, skirting, vinyl, carpet, and underlay
- Help withcontents inventory, packing, and relocation
- Learn to operateindustry‑specific equipment and moisture detection tools
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, builders, and insurers
- Record project progress, includingphotos and job notes, using mobile or tablet apps

- Construction White Card – desirable but not essential
