Chef/Cook – Full Time Position

CHATPATTA KITCHEN is a popular Indian restaurant in Jandakot, Western Australia, specialising in authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine. We are known for our bold flavours, fresh ingredients, and consistent quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing and cooking Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes to restaurant standards
* Follow recipes, instructions, and portion control to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
* Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service delivery
* Prepare ingredients including chopping, marinating, and sauce preparation
* Cook and plate dishes during busy service periods in a fast‐paced environment
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
* Assist with stock control, storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef or kitchen supervisor
* Support end‐of‐shift cleaning and kitchen organisation duties
* Contribute to smooth teamwork and efficient kitchen workflow
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
* Knowledge of Indian cuisine preferred
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Team player with good communication skills
* Availability to work full‐time, including weekends and evenings
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
